Racine, Wisconsin - New Holland Construction., a brand of CNH Industrial N.V., and a construction equipment manufacturer, has introduced its new D-Series mini excavators, marking a major step forward for the brand as it brings design and manufacturing of its excavator line fully in-house. The first models in the series, the E42D and E50D, are engineered to deliver enhanced performance, operator comfort, and jobsite efficiency across a wide range of applications.
Mr. Dan Kakareka, product manager for New Holland Construction North America, said, “The D-Series represents a new era for New Holland Construction excavators: built by us, for our customers, with every detail focused on operator experience, performance and jobsite efficiency. These machines are designed to work harder, handle better and keep operators comfortable all day long.”
The D-Series is tailored for construction crews, landscapers, municipalities, and utility contractors seeking versatility in tight spaces. Both the E42D and E50D feature zero tail swing, long arm options, steel or rubber track choices, and a two-way or six-way blade with standard float function. Dual auxiliary hydraulic lines and an optional third high-flow line allow operators to run high-demand tools like mulchers with precise flow control through the in-cab interface.
Powered by a Stage V-certified FPT engine, the excavators include fuel-saving technologies such as Eco Mode, auto idle, and a reversible cooling fan. Serviceability is enhanced by a tipping cab/canopy and large access panels, reducing downtime during maintenance.
The D-Series offers canopy or enclosed cab options with comfort features like a suspension seat, LED lighting, climate control, and a 7-inch LCD display. Safety is enhanced with a rearview camera and emergency tools, while added conveniences include sliding windows, radio, and charging ports. Built for versatility, the machines support multiple attachments and come with a five-year telematics subscription for remote monitoring and service planning.
