Turin, Italy - New Holland., a brand of CNH Industrial N.V., and an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced the W170D+ Forage Power, a new wheel loader purpose-built for silage clamping and biomass operations. The launch represents a major step in New Holland’s strategy to deliver light equipment tailored to agricultural needs.
Developed as an evolution of the W170D, the new model delivers 255 hp, 1,300 Nm of torque, and a higher operating weight of 16.4 tons. A 350-liter fuel tank ensures all-day autonomy, while a top speed of 48–50 km/h supports rapid farm-to-farm transport.
“The W170D+ Forage Power is designed to solve real challenges for silage contractors, from tackling steep ramps to ensuring comfort during long working days,” said Gaston Le Chevalier, Business Operations, New Holland Light Equipment Europe.
Highlights include a 6-speed transmission with lock-up clutch, self-locking front differential, and rear-mounted engine for stability. The proven Cooling Cube system with reversible fan boosts reliability in dusty conditions, while the cab features an ergonomic seat, panoramic windscreen, touchscreen controls, and full LED lighting for operator comfort and visibility.
Positioned as a key link in New Holland’s hay and forage ecosystem, the W170D+ Forage Power complements the brand’s harvesting equipment, enabling greater efficiency across the forage production chain.
The machine will make its public debut at Agritechnica 2025, alongside New Holland’s latest agricultural innovations.
