Phoenix, United State- Nikola Corporation., a zero-emissions transportation and energy supply and infrastructure solutions, via the HYLA brand, has appointed transportation executive Mr. Thomas Schmitt as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO). Schmitt will oversee sales, commercial operations, dealerships, service, customer success, and marketing, aligning efforts to scale the company's business.

Mr. Stephen Girsky, President and CEO, said, "Strengthening our commercial team is essential as we prioritize customer experience and expand the zero-emission Class 8 market. With over 35 years of proven success, Tom is well-equipped to advance Nikola's strategic and operational goals both internally and externally."

Mr. Thomas Schmitt is the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) of Nikola Corporation. With decades of leadership experience, he previously served as CEO of Forward Air, Schenker, Purolator, and FedEx Supply Chain. Schmitt has driven significant growth in each role, including tripling Forward Air's share price during the COVID-19 pandemic. He also holds board positions with companies like Ferguson plc and is deeply committed to community engagement. Schmitt earned his MBA as a Baker Scholar from Harvard Business School and co-authored the management guide “Simple Solutions.”
