Yokohama, Japan- Nissan., has unveiled the all-new PIXO, an electric A-segment city car developed for European markets. The new model expands Nissan’s electric vehicle line-up, focusing on affordable electrification, urban mobility and connected technology.
The Nissan PIXO features a 27.5kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery and offers a driving range of up to 259km under the WLTP cycle. It supports 50kW DC rapid charging and 11kW AC charging as standard, providing charging options for home, workplace and public use.
The electric city car also comes with advanced driver assistance systems, including automated emergency braking, a lane-keeping system and Nissan’s e-Pedal technology. Connected features include the MyNissan app for navigation, route planning, charging information and vehicle functions.
The PIXO also integrates Google built-in, including Gemini, to support navigation, route planning and connected in-car experiences.
Developed in partnership with Renault, the PIXO combines Nissan’s design and engineering with the Renault-Nissan Alliance’s shared development capabilities. The car will be produced at Renault’s manufacturing facility in Novo Mesto, Slovenia.
According to Massimiliano Messina, Chairperson of Nissan AMIEO, the PIXO has been designed specifically for European cities, offering customers a practical electric vehicle with essential features and simplified usability.
With the PIXO, Nissan aims to strengthen its presence in Europe’s electric vehicle market by expanding its range of compact electric cars alongside its existing battery-electric models and e-POWER hybrid technology.
