Porto, Portugal – Nors Group., a heavy equipment dealer, has secured the distribution rights for Manitowoc mobile cranes across key Canadian regions, including British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, the Yukon, and the Northwest Territories. The company’s Manitowoc mobile crane coverage also extends to Manitoba, Ontario, and Quebec.
This strategic expansion strengthens Nors’ footprint in the Canadian market, solidifies its position as a leading player in the heavy lifting and construction equipment sector, and reflects its broader commitment to growing and consolidating its crane business nationwide as the sole dealer in these territories. This move represents a significant milestone in Nors’ long-term growth strategy in North America.
The agreement brings a competitive edge with the opening of a new facility in Surrey, which will enhance service, parts supply, and distribution, ensuring closer proximity and faster response times for customers. Operational continuity will be maintained by integrating staff and inventory from the Acheson branches into the new location. Additionally, Nors plans to hire new technicians to further strengthen service capabilities for Manitowoc mobile crane customers.
Mr. Francisco Ramos, COO of Nors and Head of the Construction Equipment business segment, said, “Acquiring distribution rights for these crane brands in Canada expands our territory and reinforces our long-term commitment to the region. The reliability and innovation of these brands will be crucial in supporting essential construction, infrastructure, and heavy industry projects, contributing to sustainable economic growth. Our focus remains on fostering strong relationships with our community and partners to ensure this investment delivers value for all.”
