Octillion Inaugurates New Battery Factory in Nevada

Octillion Power Systems has opened "Nevada One," a 40,000 sq. ft. battery facility in Reno, Nevada, set to reach 1GWh capacity by 2025 and create 40–50 jobs.

California, United States- Octillion Power Systems ("Octillion")., a supplier of high-density lithium-ion battery packs for passenger and commercial electric vehicles, has inaugurated its latest manufacturing facility, "Nevada One," in Reno, Nevada.

Spanning approximately 40,000 square feet, Nevada One is set to enhance Octillion's presence in North America's electric vehicle, off-highway, commercial equipment, marine, and grid storage markets. The facility integrates advanced robotics and sophisticated automation with human expertise, showcasing state-of-the-art battery system manufacturing and proprietary technologies.

Mr. Paul Beach, Global President of Octillion, said, "The opening of Nevada One marks a significant step in our North American expansion strategy. As demand for battery systems continues to grow across various e-mobility sectors, this new facility enables us to better serve our customers while providing a model for those looking to establish co-located factories with Octillion in North America."

By 2025, Nevada One's production lines are expected to reach a total capacity of 1GWh, adding to Octillion’s estimated 25GWh of annual production across its seven other global manufacturing facilities.

Mr. Taylor Adams, CEO of the Economic Development Authority of Western Nevada (EDAWN), said, "The arrival of Octillion in Western Nevada is a significant boost to our state’s electrification industry. The Reno facility will employ a skilled team of engineers to enhance quality assurance and production sophistication. At peak capacity, it is expected to create 40–50 jobs, contributing to local economic growth.

Octillion is demonstrating its rapid factory scaling capabilities, with Nevada One moving from lease signing to full-scale, multi-line production within just eight months. The company also offers clients tailored solutions for mass-volume battery production, typically achieving full-scale operations within six to twelve months, depending on specific project requirements.
