Mumbai, India- Porsche India., has launched the new Cayenne Electric and Cayenne Turbo Electric, expanding its electric vehicle portfolio in the Indian market. The launch introduces an all-electric version of the Cayenne SUV while maintaining the performance, comfort and everyday usability associated with the model.
The new Cayenne Electric combines Porsche’s sports car engineering with an electric powertrain, offering customers an alternative to the existing petrol-powered models. The electric SUV is designed to deliver the driving performance expected from Porsche while supporting the growing demand for electric luxury vehicles.
According to Ashutosh Dixit, Head of Porsche India, the launch marks an important step in the brand’s electrification strategy. The new models aim to provide customers with the performance and driving experience associated with Porsche, alongside the convenience of everyday use.
The Cayenne Electric and the higher-performance Cayenne Turbo Electric are available from launch, giving customers two electric variants to choose from based on their performance and ownership preferences.
Porsche has also confirmed that petrol-powered Cayenne models will continue to be offered into the next decade. This allows the company to provide both conventional and electric powertrain options to customers.
The launch strengthens Porsche India’s luxury SUV portfolio and represents a new chapter for the Cayenne range as the brand continues to expand its electric vehicle offerings in the country.
