Grieskirchen, Austria - POTTINGER Landtechnik GmbH., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has expanded its tillage portfolio with the introduction of the TERRADISC HT 12000, a new high-capacity disc harrow designed for maximum output and efficiency in demanding soil conditions. With a working width of 12.5 metres, the trailed, horizontally folding harrow is built for tractors ranging from 450 to 720 horsepower, making it ideal for stubble cultivation, seedbed preparation, and conservation tillage in heavy, dry soils with high volumes of crop residue.
At its core, the new model incorporates POTTINGER’s proven TWIN ARM system, featuring two disc carriers and two concave discs per clamping bracket for consistent performance even in tough soils. The 580 mm scalloped or plain concave discs, set at an aggressive angle, ensure intensive soil movement and shallow tillage down to 5 cm, while the non-stop stone protection system guarantees reliability.
Breaking new ground in soil contouring, the 12.5-metre model employs a four-section frame that adapts independently to uneven terrain. Each section can move within precise angles, supported by hydraulic pre-tensioning to maintain consistent ground pressure.
For operator convenience, the TERRADISC HT 12000 comes equipped with four double-acting spool valves to regulate all major settings, including working depth, headland position, disc section pressure, and side pull correction. Depth adjustment is hydraulic, with fine 9 mm increments. The long drawbar allows up to an 85° steering angle, enabling tight turns even with wide tractors, while the rear roller supports fast, soil-friendly headland turns.
Combining robust tillage tools, advanced ground-tracking technology, and user-friendly hydraulics, the new TERRADISC HT 12000 offers farmers a reliable, high-output solution for modern soil cultivation.
