North Carolina, US - Power Curbers Companies LLC., a paving equipment manufacturer, introduced the 5704-D Max at World of Concrete 2025, a four-track version of its popular concrete slipform paver, designed for greater stability when pouring highway barrier walls and handling large-scale projects.
The Power Curber 5704-D Max is a four-track concrete slipform paver designed for curb and gutter, sidewalks, barriers, ditches, paving, tunnels, agricultural, and specialized applications. Its heavy-duty frame and four-track system provide enhanced stability and durability, while its compact size allows for easy operation in tight spaces.
Powered by a 130-horsepower Cummins Tier 4 Final turbocharged diesel engine, ensuring reliable performance and efficiency, it features an advanced hydraulic system for smooth and efficient operation. The machine’s slipform capabilities enable it to handle a wide range of concrete profiles, with adjustable settings for different project requirements. An intuitive operator interface and automated controls ensure precision pouring, making the 5704-D Max a highly efficient and user-friendly solution for large-scale concrete projects.
The 5704-D paver is designed to pour standard Jersey barriers, variable barriers, and other vertical structures for tunnels and high-speed rail projects. Its low center of gravity and optimized size-to-weight ratio make it ideal for barrier and parapet work. Equipped with a hydraulic barrier mold lift, it can easily raise the mold over steel cages, allowing for quick repositioning and safe removal from traffic at the end of the day. The operator benefits from a clear view of the concrete exiting the mold and excellent overall visibility around the machine, ensuring precision and efficiency.
The 5704-D is compatible with Topcon, Leica Geosystems, and Trimble 3D machine control systems, enabling stringless paving for enhanced precision. It features the Power Curbers SlipSmart Control System, which offers electronic-over-hydraulic control for grade, steering (forward and reverse), and slope adjustments.
