Sterzing, Italy – Prinoth AG., a heavy equipment manufacturer, has launched the new Panther T9R, a compact rotating crawler carrier that delivers increased payload capacity, enhanced operator comfort, and advanced technology aimed at improving performance and machine protection.
Designed for challenging terrains, the Panther T9R features tracks capable of handling the toughest and wettest conditions, while minimizing ground impact with a low pressure of 3 psi when unloaded and 5.3 psi when fully loaded. Its newly designed rotating cab and bed allow for 360-degree movement atop the crawler undercarriage, boosting maneuverability in tight job sites.
The T9R can carry a payload of 17,637 pounds, an increase of 2,205 pounds over its predecessor, the Panther T7R, and has a heaped bed capacity of 6.5 cubic yards. It is powered by a 201-horsepower Cat C4.4 diesel engine, offering improved fuel efficiency compared to previous models. Prinoth also claims the T9R is the fastest in its class, reaching speeds of up to 8.1 mph.
Inside the cab, operators will find significant upgrades, including more legroom, a standard air-ride seat, and a 7-inch touchscreen display with dial-based job and engine rpm controls. New features like cruise control, an improved climate system, a joystick-controlled dump and rotation mechanism, and a sun visor have also been added to enhance operator comfort during long hours of operation.
To help prevent machine overloading, the T9R is equipped with an advanced overload sensor. If the payload exceeds the carrier’s limits, operators receive an alert via the touchscreen. Additionally, this information is transmitted to PrinothConnect, the company’s telematics system, which provides real-time updates on machine health, maintenance needs, and instances of overloading.
