Passignano sul Trasimeno PG, Italy- Rampini Carlo S.p.A., a manufacturer of specialty vehicles and urban buses, has taken a significant step forward in hydrogen innovation with the launch of H2EUPower, a new division for hydrogen fuel cell power systems. This strategic expansion marks a milestone in Rampini’s commitment to zero-emission technology, offering advanced hydrogen solutions for commercial vehicles, off-highway applications, and stationary power systems across Europe.

Originally formed as Rampini’s hydrogen mobility engineering team, H2EUPower was officially established as an independent division in early 2024. Its mission is to provide OEMs with cutting-edge design, performance, and supply chain advantages, accelerating the adoption of hydrogen-powered solutions across the European market.

Over the past few months, H2EUPower has strengthened its expertise by bringing together top technical and commercial specialists in the fuel cell power sector. With a collective track record of over 25 fuel cell power system OEM design wins across Europe, North America, and Asia Pacific, the division is well-positioned to lead the next phase of hydrogen-powered innovation.

H2EUPower has developed a full range of modular hydrogen fuel cell power systems designed to cater to a variety of applications, including:

  • Midi-Buses and Medium & Heavy-Duty Vehicles – Delivering efficient, zero-emission power solutions for urban and long-haul transport.
  • Off-Highway Applications – Providing robust and reliable fuel cell technology for industrial and construction vehicles.
  • Stationary Power Systems – Offering flexible, modular energy solutions for fixed power generation needs.

These systems, ranging from 30 to 140 kilowatts, are designed to streamline development processes and significantly reduce time-to-market for OEMs looking to integrate hydrogen power into their fleets.

While benefiting from Rampini as an anchor customer, H2EUPower operates with full technical and commercial independence. This autonomy enables the division to tailor solutions specifically for the broader market while maintaining strong ties to Rampini’s legacy of innovation.

Under the leadership of Luigi Fusi, an industry veteran with over a decade of experience in the energy sector, H2EUPower is poised for rapid expansion in the EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) market.

Mr. Luigi Fusi, Head of Business Unit, said, “Over the last few months, H2EUPower has done an incredible job leveraging our experience with OEMs worldwide to develop what I believe is the best-in-class solution for European customers. We are just getting started at full scale now! We have exciting technological advancements and commercial opportunities to share with the market in the coming weeks and months.”
