France: In a breathtaking fusion of motorsport heritage and luxury craftsmanship, Swiss haute horology brand Richard Mille has partnered with iconic British motorcycle manufacturer Brough Superior to create the RMB01—a track-only, turbocharged superbike limited to just 150 units worldwide. Officially unveiled at the 2025 Le Mans Classic, the RMB01 is not just a motorcycle—it’s a mechanical sculpture built for the world’s most discerning collectors.
Precision-Engineered Performance
At the heart of the RMB01 lies a 997cc turbocharged V-twin engine, machined from aerospace-grade aluminium. Beginning as a 160kg block, it’s CNC-sculpted down to a featherweight 23kg engine assembly—producing an estimated 130 bhp. Power is transferred via a six-speed cassette gearbox paired with a slipper clutch, ideal for aggressive track use.
The RMB01 uses a forged carbon fiber exoskeletal frame to deliver exceptional rigidity and ultra-lightweight dynamics. This track-bred chassis is complemented by a Fior/Hossack double-wishbone front fork—a nod to high-performance racing architecture, providing stability and superior cornering agility.
Design Inspired by Horology
The RMB01 doesn’t just perform—it tells a story. Drawing inspiration from Richard Mille’s skeletonised timepieces, the motorcycle features exposed mechanical components, transparent gauge housings, and detailed finishes that resemble a luxury chronograph.
Noteworthy design features include:
- Exposed steering internals inspired by tourbillon mechanisms
- Split-rim wheels and drilled brake discs reflecting layered timepiece design
- Aerodynamic winglets beneath the headlight and a minimalist racing seat
The overall silhouette channels early board track racing bikes of the 1910s, but through a modern, luxury-focused lens.
Exclusive Finishes
Each RMB01 is hand-assembled in Toulouse, France, and offered in three bespoke liveries:
- Nocturnal Sapphire Blue
- Selene Grey with Orange Accents
- Pearl of Speed White with Red Detailing
Every unit is individually numbered, ensuring exclusivity and collectability on a global scale.
Pricing and Availability
While the official price hasn’t been disclosed, industry experts expect the RMB01 to start above €200,000 (approx. ₹1.8 crore). Although not confirmed for the Indian market, demand from India’s collector community is anticipated through luxury import channels and global dealers.
A Statement of Speed and Status
The Richard Mille x Brough Superior RMB01 isn’t just a motorcycle—it’s an expression of performance, design, and extreme exclusivity. With only 150 units available globally, the RMB01 is poised to become a crown jewel in the world of exotic motorcycles.
