It has a special 108kWh battery that is more efficient and lighter. The car also features new EVO2 brakes made from carbon ceramic with a silicone layer, which improve stopping power, cooling, and durability. It will have limited of 40 units available. It will feature a new Nebula Green color and customizable interior options.

Mr. Mate Rimac, founder and CEO of Rimac Group, said, the motivation behind the Nevera R's development: "When we developed the Nevera, an important part of the brief was that it should be a Grand Tourer... But we're relentlessly tweaking to customers' desires, and many were looking for a car that really emphasised the Nevera's cornering ability, using all the advanced technology on board. We responded with the Nevera R: all the DNA of the record-breaking Nevera, but lighter, faster and more focused."
