Rivian Unveils R2 Lineup with Full Trims and Pricing

Irvine, California, U.S. - Rivian Automotive, Inc., an American electric vehicle (EV) automaker and automotive technology company, has revealed the full trim lineup and pricing for its new R2, a mid-size electric SUV designed to bring the brand’s design, performance, and technology to a wider range of buyers.

Rivian will begin R2 deliveries in Spring 2026, starting with the R2 Performance with Launch Package, priced from $57,990. Additional Premium variants will arrive later in 2026, while Standard versions are scheduled for 2027.

Built on a new mid-size platform, the R2 is positioned as a more accessible Rivian without sacrificing capability. The lineup will offer up to 656 hp, 0–60 mph in as little as 3.6 seconds, 50–70 mph acceleration in as quick as 1.55 seconds, and an estimated driving range of up to 345 miles.

The R2 lineup offers multiple trims to suit different driving needs, combining range, performance and capability with Rivian’s adventure-focused character. It comes with a native NACS charge port, Supercharger access and CCS adapter support.

R2 Performance, arriving in Spring 2026, starts at $57,990 with the Launch Package and delivers 656 hp, 609 lb-ft of torque, 0–60 mph in 3.6 seconds, and up to 330 miles of estimated range. It includes premium interior features, semi-active suspension, advanced lighting, premium audio and multiple drive modes.

R2 Premium, available in late 2026 from $53,990, offers 450 hp, 537 lb-ft of torque, 0–60 mph in 4.6 seconds, and up to 330 miles of range, along with upscale interior, premium audio and key Rivian comfort and utility features.

R2 Standard, arriving in the first half of 2027 from $48,490, features 350 hp, 355 lb-ft of torque, 0–60 mph in 5.9 seconds, and up to 345 miles of estimated range. A more affordable Standard version with 275+ miles of range is planned for late 2027 at around $45,000.

Rivian is also adding new exterior colours, wheel choices and nature-inspired interior themes. The R2 offers practical storage, space for five adults, strong off-road capability, advanced driver assistance, AI-powered in-car tech and over-the-air software updates. Deliveries begin in Spring 2026, and reservations are open with a $100 refundable deposit.
