Victoria, Canada – RIZON, Daimler Truck’s all-electric brand, has delivered its first Canadian vehicle an 18,850 GVW e18L dump truck to Villamar Construction in British Columbia. This marks a milestone in Canada’s transition to zero-emission commercial fleets.

Over the coming weeks, 18 more RIZON trucks, upfitted with various bodies such as dry boxes, service bodies, and landscape dumps, will be delivered to municipalities, logistics companies, and leasing providers in British Columbia and Quebec.

Mr. Andreas Deuschle, Global Head of RIZON Truck, said, “This handover marks a significant step for Daimler Truck in bringing zero-emission commercial vehicles to Canadian businesses. Commercial EVs are no longer a future concept they’re here, hitting the road and serving in communities across Canada. We congratulate Villamar Construction on leading the charge and look forward to seeing RIZON trucks drive the growth of zero-emission transportation nationwide.”

RIZON offers four model variants e16L, e16M, e18L, and e18M ranging from 15,995 to 18,850 pounds GVW. These trucks provide up to 257 km of range, feature an electric power take-off (ePTO) for specialized equipment, and include Daimler’s advanced safety systems like Active Brake Assist and Active Side Guard Assist.

Canadian customers can benefit from up to $75,000 in federal incentives under the iMHZEV program, with additional provincial incentives available in B.C.

Designed for Canadian conditions, RIZON trucks come equipped with cold-weather performance features, including electric preconditioning and heated driver comforts. They support both Level 2 AC and DC Fast Charging for flexible charging options.

RIZON currently operates in nine dealer locations across Canada, with plans for expansion.
