Chennai - Royal Enfield., an automaker company, launched the Scram 440 in India, closely resembling the Scram 411. It features a round LED headlight with a small cowl, a similar fuel tank with neat extensions, and side panels. The Scram 440 is available in bold new colors: Force Teal, Force Grey, Force Blue, Trail Green, and Trail Blue.
The Scram 440 is powered by a new 443cc air/oil-cooled engine, delivering 25.4bhp at 6,250rpm and 34Nm of peak torque at 4,000rpm. Paired with a six-speed gearbox, this upgrade from the Scram 411's 5-speed transmission enhances its cruising capability, particularly for highway riding. The additional gear provides smoother gear shifts and better performance at higher speeds, making the Scram 440 more suited for long-distance touring and faster cruising.
The Scram 440 is built on a durable cradle frame, offering a robust foundation for its suspension system. At the front, it features a telescopic fork, providing smooth handling and stability over various terrains, while the rear is equipped with a monoshock for effective shock absorption.
The bike comes with two-wheel options: 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wire-spoke wheels or alloy wheels, both fitted with tubeless tyres for better convenience and reliability. Braking performance is provided by disc brakes at both ends, ensuring confident stopping power, whether on rough trails or paved roads.
The Scram 440 comes equipped with standard features for its segment, including an LED headlight and taillight for improved visibility. It also boasts switchable ABS for enhanced control on various terrains and tripper navigation to guide riders on their journeys. These features make it well-suited for both everyday use and off-road adventures.
