India– Royal Enfield., has launched the new Himalayan 440 in India, introducing a rugged adventure motorcycle based on the company's 440cc platform. The Himalayan 440 retains the familiar design language of the earlier Himalayan 411 while receiving updates to its engine, suspension and off-road capability.

The motorcycle is powered by a 443cc air/oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 25.4 bhp of power and 34 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, offering improved flexibility for both city riding and longer adventure journeys.

The Himalayan 440 uses a half-duplex split cradle frame, along with a telescopic front fork and rear monoshock. It gets 200mm of front suspension travel and 180mm at the rear, helping the motorcycle handle uneven roads and off-road conditions.

The motorcycle also offers 220mm of ground clearance, while the 21-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheels support its adventure-focused setup. Braking is handled by a 300mm front disc and 240mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS and switchable rear ABS for better control during off-road riding.

For features, the Himalayan 440 gets a semi-digital instrument console with an analogue speedometer and digital information display. It also features the Royal Enfield Tripper Navigator for turn-by-turn navigation. With its increased suspension travel, higher ground clearance and off-road-focused equipment, the Himalayan 440 is positioned as a capable adventure motorcycle for varied riding conditions.
