Adairsville, Georgia – SAKAI America, Inc., a soil compactors manufacturer, has reached a major manufacturing milestone with the production of its 1,000th SV544 soil compactor at its Georgia factory. The landmark machine, an SV544TBCF model with a padfoot drum, leveling blade, cab, and removable smooth shell, is headed to Power Motive, a dealer serving the western U.S.
Introduced in late 2017 as the successor to the SV540 series, the SV544 is an 84-inch compactor in the 12–15-ton class designed for heavy-duty applications such as highway foundations, large-scale developments, and site preparation. The milestone underscores SAKAI’s growing presence in North America and its focus on delivering durable, high-performance compaction solutions.
Unlike mass-assembly production, every SV544 is hand-built by skilled American employees at the Adairsville facility, reflecting SAKAI’s commitment to craftsmanship and reliability.
Mr. Kevin McClain, Vice President of Operations, said, “Producing the 1,000th SV544 is an incredible achievement that speaks volumes about our team. Every machine is assembled with the dedication and craftsmanship of our employees. This milestone is a celebration of their hard work and focus on delivering machines our customers can depend on.”
Mr. Brad Belvin, Sales and Marketing Manager, said, “This milestone reflects the trust our customers place in our equipment. Building in Georgia allows us to be closer to our customers, more responsive, and better equipped to support their needs nationwide.”
