Hunan, China - SANY Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., a heavy machinery manufacturer, has expanded its telescopic-boom crawler crane range in the United States with the launch of the SCA1100TB, offering a lifting capacity of 110 tons and a maximum tip height of 236 feet.
The new crane features a five-section, full-power telescopic boom extending from 44.9 feet to 174.3 feet. When fitted with a fixed jib, it can reach its maximum height, with boom-to-jib angles adjustable to 0, 15 or 30 degrees.
Powered by a Cummins L9-C325 diesel engine, the SCA1100TB produces 325 horsepower and 1,126 foot-pounds of torque. Its main and auxiliary hoists provide rope speeds of up to 378 feet per minute and a maximum line pull of 25,900 pounds.
The crane uses three-position side frames, allowing contractors to adjust its footprint for restricted jobsites. Applications include wind turbine support work, urban utility tunnel construction and rotary drilling operations.
Operator features include a cab that tilts up to 20 degrees, a 12-inch HD touchscreen and cameras covering the winch, swing area, boom tip and rear. A load moment indicator displays ground pressure, wind speed, lifting radius, boom length, boom angle and machine diagnostics in real time.
The SCA1100TB measures 56.5 feet long, 17.7 feet wide when fully extended and 11.4 feet high at the cab. It weighs approximately 219,000 pounds, can travel at up to 1.2 mph and offers gradeability of up to 45%.
