Mayville, Wisconsin - SCAG Construction., a construction machinery manufacturer, preparing to enter the small articulated loader segment with the launch of its new AWL mini articulating wheel loader, expected in early 2027.
The outdoor power equipment manufacturer, best known for its mowers and landscaping equipment, has been steadily expanding into compact construction machinery. Its recent additions include a stand-on mini track loader and a tracked power buggy.
The new AWL is designed for contractors, landscapers and arborists who need strong lifting performance in confined job sites while keeping ground disturbance low.
Powered by a 25 hp Rehlko diesel engine, formerly Kohler, the AWL delivers a rated lift capacity of 2,700 lb and a rated tipping capacity of 3,200 lb. The engine is paired with a hydrostatic drive system, four independent drive motors and an electronic differential lock four-wheel-drive system for improved traction.
Operator comfort is also a key focus. The loader comes standard with a canopy and can be upgraded with a full enclosure, window and door kit, heating and air conditioning. Other features include electro-hydraulic controls, a heated suspension seat, foot-controlled travel pedals and a touchscreen display.
The AWL uses a standard mini attachment interface and supports Scag-built attachments such as augers, grapples, brooms, buckets and forks, along with compatible universal attachments from other manufacturers. With a 9.5 ft dump height, the machine can load into trailers and dumpsters.
