Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu – Schaeffler India Limited., a leading force in motion technology and mobility solutions, has inaugurated its fifth manufacturing plant in India, located in Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu.

Dedicated to the production of powertrain and chassis components, the facility will focus on both traditional and electrified mobility technologies, serving the fast-evolving needs of the Indian automotive industry.

“Schaeffler views India as a pivotal market for innovation and growth,” said Mr.Matthias Zink, CEO (Powertrain and Chassis), Schaeffler AG. “This new facility marks a major milestone in our journey to expand localized production and scale future-ready technologies.”

Mr.Harsha Kadam, MD & CEO of Schaeffler India, added, “With our enhanced manufacturing footprint, we are better equipped to meet current domestic demand while also preparing for the shift toward electrified powertrain systems.”

Aftermarket Expansion,In 2023, Schaeffler India advanced its presence in the automotive digital aftermarket through the acquisition of KRSV Innovative Auto Solutions Pvt. Ltd. (Koovers), a B2B e-commerce platform empowering independent garages and service providers across India.
