Rijssen, Netherlands – Schuitemaker Machines B.V., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has unveiled its latest innovation in the Rapide range, introducing the new Rapide XC models, which bring enhanced performance and efficiency to land and silage work. Building on the original Rapide series, the XC models incorporate significant design improvements, making them more powerful and versatile for field operations.
A key feature of the Rapide XC is its compact construction, which includes a towing pick-up positioned under the main body. This design ensures maximum ground clearance, allowing for easier silage and field work. Schuitemaker has further enhanced the machine by integrating a new rotor housing capable of housing 80 cutting knives. These knives achieve a cutting length of 24mm, improving crop processing efficiency.
The Rapide XC’s rotor is equipped with Schuitemaker’s patented star-shaped power rotor, designed to ensure smooth crop processing under all conditions. This feature not only optimizes performance but also minimizes power usage and reduces pressure on the front wall, making it more energy-efficient. To accommodate the additional 30 knives compared to the standard 50, Schuitemaker has fitted the XC with 4mm knives, allowing for the extra blades to fit while maintaining lower power requirements and reducing fuel consumption.
The 2.4-meter-wide pick-up is equipped with 3D contour suspension, ensuring optimal ground following and minimizing soil contamination, which helps maintain silage quality. Additionally, the Rapide XC features a hydraulically movable front panel and Schuitemaker's patented RapidRelease system, which significantly increases the machine's capacity.
The first Rapide XC models will be put to work in the upcoming grass season, and they are already available through Schuitemaker's dealer network, offering farmers a powerful and efficient solution for their silage and field work needs.
