Gujarat - SHAKTIMAN Agro., an agricultural machinery brand of Tirth Agro Technology Pvt. Ltd., has partnered with Hello Tractor., to launch a Women Empowerment Program aimed at advancing inclusive agricultural development across Africa. The initiative is designed to strengthen women’s participation in farm mechanization by equipping them with technical skills in machine operation, maintenance, and repair.

The program addresses a long-standing challenge in many African markets, where women have often had limited access to mechanization services, technology, and technical training. By providing hands-on learning opportunities, the initiative seeks to bridge this gender gap and enable women to take on active roles as machine operators, service providers, and potential equipment owners.

Conducted in collaboration with Hello Tractor, the training focuses on practical use of key agricultural equipment such as rotary tillers, subsoilers, vacuum precision planters, and static shredders. The sessions are tailored to local farming requirements, ensuring that participants gain skills relevant to the conditions and needs of their communities.

Ms. Ashwin Gohil, Chairman of Shaktiman, said, “Inclusive mechanization is essential to creating meaningful change in African agriculture. By giving women access to the right tools and knowledge, the program is opening new opportunities while also helping shape the future of farming across the continent.”

Beyond technical training, the initiative also encourages participants to become sub-dealers, local mechanization service providers, and community influencers. In doing so, the program aims to expand awareness of the benefits of mechanization and support wider adoption of modern farming practices.

The Women Empowerment Program reflects Shaktiman’s broader commitment to Africa’s agricultural transformation through accessible, sustainable, and inclusive technology. By placing knowledge, skills, and opportunity in the hands of women, the company aims to create long-term impact at the grassroots level.
