Bellefontaine, Ohio – SharpGrade Ltd., a construction equipment supplier, has introduced the new G73 Grader Blade, engineered for compact track loaders and small articulated loaders with 30 to 50 horsepower. Designed for versatility on confined jobsites as well as open grading, the G73 aims to enhance productivity across landscaping, paving, residential construction, and urban infill projects.
Mr. Rodney Sharp, Director of SharpGrade, said, “The ability to simultaneously articulate the blade and hydraulic side wings forward and reverse makes it ideal for grading around service pipes and other confined spaces. It’s also highly effective for narrow linear work, like sidewalks, cycle ways, and curb and gutter applications, significantly cutting down manual raking.” Grading in reverse helps remove track marks and improves both accuracy and efficiency.
The G73 features a working width of 45.5 inches when the hydraulic side wings are closed and extends to 73 inches when fully open. Built to the same standards as SharpGrade’s larger models, it supports a variety of connection options and is compatible with most 3D machine control systems. An optional QuadGrade 2D Laser Control Package is also available.
Key technical highlights of the G73 include a hydraulic flow requirement of 10–26 gallons per minute, a retracting front wheel that enables an open six-way blade with side wings, and a QuadRod 3 linkage system that keeps the blade parallel throughout movement for consistent grading. It also features a Zero Cross Coupling design for independent blade side control, sealed and lifetime-lubricated bearings that never need greasing, a tamperproof hour meter, real-time diagnostics with remote technician access, and a linked override for enhanced operator control.
With the launch of the G73, SharpGrade brings its proven grader blade performance and technology to compact equipment, addressing the growing demand for precision grading in tight and complex jobsite conditions.
