Birmingham, UK - Simon Richard Ltd., an agricultural machinery distributor, will return to LAMMA 2026 on stand 10.110, showcasing the versatility and performance of the Muthing range of mulching mowers. Manufactured in Soest, western Germany, Muthing machines are known for high-quality German engineering and are distributed exclusively in the UK by Simon Richard.
Designed for demanding conditions, the MU-Pro Vario will be a highlight of the stand. Suitable for tractors up to 250hp, it features a gearbox with integrated overrun clutch and through drive for 1000rpm PTO operation. Available for front or rear mounting, the machine uses a spiral rotor with high-tempered M-Hammer flails working against Muthing’s patented removable Shark Fin shredding bar. An adjustable Vario cutting bar allows operators to tailor chopping performance to different vegetation types.
The MU-Pro Vario is supported by a self-cleaning, height-adjustable swivelling roller with rounded edges to protect the soil and is fitted with durable Starinth bearings. Additional features include a hydraulic headstock providing up to 56cm of side shift. The MU-Pro range is suited to heavy-duty applications such as shredding crop residues and managing verges and SFI crops.
Visitors can also see the popular MU-L 280, a versatile 2.8m mulcher suitable for tractors up to 130hp and available for front or rear mounting, ideal for grass, crops and weeds. Alongside it will be a special Birthday Edition MU-M 280, designed for use with heavier tractors up to 200hp.
For maintaining sloping verges, ditches and embankments, Simon Richard will display the MU-H/S. Using the same rotor and removable shredding bar system, it offers a working angle from +90° to -60° and includes a mechanical safety breakaway system to protect both machine and tractor. A 2m version suitable for tractors up to 90hp will be shown, representing the smallest model in a range extending to 220hp.
Addressing demand for compact, powerful mulchers, Simon Richard will also highlight the MU-Ecotop. Designed for tractors up to 75hp and available in 1.6m, 1.8m and 2.0m widths, it combines Müthing’s robust construction with a compact design, making it ideal for specialist applications such as orchards, vineyards and woodland rides.
