Slovenia, Europe - SIP (Strojna Industrija d.d.)., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has expanded its STAR side rotary rake portfolio with two new models designed for small and medium-sized farms, especially those operating on fragmented plots and sloping terrain.

The new additions, STAR R 640|22 TS and STAR R 760|22 TS, are built to offer efficient raking performance with improved flexibility in different forage conditions. The STAR R 640|22 TS features a fixed working width of 6.38 metres and is designed to form a single swath on the right side. The STAR R 760|22 TS, meanwhile, offers hydraulic working width adjustment from 6.38 metres to 7.60 metres. With an additional swath curtain, it can also form two swaths, allowing operators to adapt swath size to field slope and forage volume.

Both machines are equipped with a two-point flexible Category II hitch, which provides strong manoeuvrability and smooth tractor tracking in the field. SIP has also integrated 3D rotor mounting with a tandem chassis to ensure better ground adaptation, helping the rakes perform effectively on uneven terrain. Mechanical working height adjustment is provided on both models, enabling more precise setup during operation.

The machines also include practical transport and maintenance features. They weigh 2,200 kg and 2,300 kg respectively and require a minimum tractor power of 40 kW/55 hp. With a transport width of 2.5 metres, they are easy to move between fields, while the open design and reduced lubrication points help simplify maintenance. Overall, SIP’s new STAR side rakes are positioned as practical and versatile solutions for efficient forage handling in challenging farm conditions.
