Poznań- Solaris Bus & Coach sp. z o.o., is presenting its latest battery-electric midibus, the Urbino 10.5 electric, at Next Mobility Milano 2026, held in Milan from 13 to 16 May 2026. The event focuses on practical solutions for public transport electrification, charging infrastructure, digitalisation, and integrated mobility systems.
The new Urbino 10.5 electric is designed for urban routes where a standard 12-metre bus may not be the most efficient option. With its 10.5-metre length, the midibus offers strong manoeuvrability while maintaining high passenger capacity. Its compact size makes it suitable for dense city streets, historic centres, and feeder routes.
Built on Solaris’ modular drive concept, the vehicle removes the traditional rear engine tower, helping maximise interior space. The Urbino 10.5 electric can carry up to 85 passengers, including up to 33 seated, placing it among the higher-capacity models in the midibus segment. Its turning radius of under 17 metres further supports efficient operation in tight urban environments.
The bus is powered by a 240 kW electric motor and can be equipped with batteries of up to 400 kWh, supporting full-day operation without intermediate charging. It is compatible with both plug-in and pantograph charging, giving operators flexibility in fleet deployment.
The Urbino 10.5 electric also complies with the latest GSR2 safety regulations and can be fitted with advanced driver assistance systems. An energy-efficient CO₂ heat pump supports onboard climate control while improving energy efficiency.
With zero local emissions and reduced noise levels, the Solaris Urbino 10.5 electric is positioned as a practical solution for cities looking to modernise public transport while improving air quality and passenger comfort.
