Bolechowo-Osiedle, Poland- Solaris Bus & Coach sp. z o.o., has won a tender to supply 19 hydrogen buses to SWK Mobil Krefeld in Germany. The order includes 9 Urbino 12 hydrogen buses and 10 articulated Urbino 18 hydrogen buses, with deliveries planned for 2027.

The buses will use hydrogen fuel cell technology to power electric drivetrains. The 12-metre model will feature a 160 kW motor, while the articulated version will have a 240 kW motor. The vehicles will also include mirror-replacing camera systems, safety features, wheelchair ramps, and dedicated accessibility spaces.

Solaris and SWK Mobil Krefeld have worked together since 2011. The new order follows a 2023 purchase of 10 Urbino 12 hydrogen buses, delivered in 2025. SWK Mobil Krefeld will also use Solaris’ eSConnect system to monitor vehicle performance and support fleet operations.
