Gurugram- Sona BLW Precision Forgings Limited (Sona Comstar), a mobility technologies, announced the appointment of Mr. Jeffrey Mark Overly as Chairman of the Board, effective June 23, 2025. Mr. Overly, who has served as an Independent Director on the company’s Board since February 12, 2021, brings decades of global leadership and operational expertise to his new role.
With nearly five years of dedicated service to Sona Comstar’s Board, Mr. Overly has demonstrated exceptional commitment, maintaining a perfect attendance record across all Board and Committee meetings. Despite being in a different time zone, he has actively contributed to strategic discussions and decision-making processes.
Mr. Overly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Management from the University of Cincinnati and an MBA from Central Michigan University. He brings over 43 years of operational leadership experience spanning manufacturing, supply chain, and business transformation.
Before retiring from the Blackstone Group in 2018, Mr. Overly served as an Operating Partner in the Corporate Private Equity Group based in New York. In this role, he supported Blackstone’s global portfolio companies by driving operational excellence, lean manufacturing, and strategic growth initiatives. He continues to serve on the boards of several Blackstone-affiliated companies.
Prior to his tenure at Blackstone, Mr. Overly was Vice President of Global Fixture Operations at Kohler Company, overseeing its global manufacturing and supply chain operations. He also spent 25 years at General Motors and Delphi Corporation in various engineering and operational leadership roles with international responsibilities.
In addition to his role at Sona Comstar, Mr. Overly serves as an Independent Director on the boards of Performance Food Group, Fortrex, Inc. Ltd. (formerly Packer Sanitation Services Inc.), Comstar Automotive USA LLC (a wholly owned subsidiary of Sona Comstar), as well as Sabre Industries, Inc. and Supply One, Inc.
