Gurugram- Sona BLW Precision Forgings Ltd (Sona Comstar)., an automotive system & components Manufacturer, appoints Mr. Praveen Chakrapani Rao as the new chief Technology Officer (CTO). Rao takes on the new position starting November 1st, 2024.
Rao is currently the president of Sona Comstar R&D Motor Business, with an experience of over 32 years in the automotive sector. He has held roles at prominent companies like Bosch, Ford, Visteon, and Sona Comstar, specializing in product engineering and business development.
Current Group CTO, Mr. Kiran Manohar Deshmukh, will retire in October. He joined Sona Group in 1987 and has been CTO since 2019. Previously, he held various key positions in Sona Koya. The company requested him to extend his tenure until October 31, 2024, to guide through transition. Deshmukh's tenure a significant contribution to Sona Comstar's tech, innovation, quality, and strategy.
