Punjab - Sonalika Tractors., a brand of ITL and a tractor manufacturer, has reported its highest-ever December sales, delivering 12,392 tractors during the month and marking a strong close to the 2025 calendar year. The achievement underscores the company’s solid performance amid improving agricultural activity across the country.
The sales momentum comes alongside an expansion in Rabi season sowing compared with the previous year, reflecting favorable farming conditions. Company management noted that farmer sentiment remains positive, supported by healthy crop prospects and the continued adoption of farm mechanization solutions.
Mr. Raman Mittal, Joint Managing Director of International Tractors Limited, said the results were driven by Sonalika’s focus on developing tractors tailored to diverse Indian farming requirements. He emphasized that the company’s technology-enabled products are designed to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and long-term value for farmers.
Sonalika manufactures its tractors at its Hoshiarpur facility and markets them through a wide dealer network across India and overseas. The company stated that it has served more than 1.8 million farmers and continues to hold the position of India’s largest tractor exporter by volume.
The strong December sales cap a year that Sonalika describes as one of significant operational milestones. Looking ahead to 2026, the company reiterated its commitment to advancing farm mechanization and supporting sustainable agricultural practices.
The broader tractor industry remains closely linked to rural economic conditions, monsoon performance, and government agricultural policies, all of which influence farmers’ purchasing power and investment decisions in farm equipment.
