Rosersberg, Sweden - Steelwrist AB., an earthmoving equipment manufacturer, has introduced two new models in its third-generation XTR tiltrotator range, featuring its patented SuperProp fully pressure-compensated proportional hydraulic technology.
The new XTR10 and XTR13 models expand the range for larger compact and mid-size excavators and are available with S45 and S50-size interfaces. Steelwrist has also developed the XTR7 for 4-7 tonne excavators with an S40-size interface.
With these additions, the XTR lineup now includes seven models, marking the largest tiltrotator range expansion in Steelwrist’s history. The range is designed to improve excavator efficiency through 360-degree rotation, 45-degree tilt in both directions, better control, improved safety and higher uptime.
The XTR platform features a compact design, steel cast components, refined tilt geometry, upgraded hydraulics, onboard OptiLube lubrication, high-resolution tilt and rotation sensors and Steelwrist’s QuantumConnect control system.
SuperProp hydraulics are designed to improve precision, energy efficiency and smooth operation during combined movements such as tilting, rotating and using powered work tools. The system maintains independent control of tilt, rotation, gripper and auxiliary functions even when hydraulic pressure changes.
Steelwrist says the technology helps reduce energy losses, heat generation and fuel consumption by matching hydraulic pressure to the actual load. The redesigned swivel and larger port dimensions support up to 350 bar machine pressure and 200 l/min hydraulic flow.
According to Stefan Stockhaus, CEO of Steelwrist, the XTR tiltrotators, QuantumConnect control platform and SuperProp hydraulics together form the key technology pillars behind the company’s latest tiltrotator range.
