Date: May 15, 2025Lisbon – Stellantis has officially announced the appointment of Artur Fernandes as the new Director of the Stellantis Premium Cluster in Portugal, which includes the prestigious automotive brands Alfa Romeo, DS Automobiles, and Lancia. Fernandes takes over the role from David Correia, who is moving on to pursue new professional opportunities outside the Group.
Artur Fernandes brings over two decades of automotive industry experience and holds a degree in Business Management from the International University of Portugal, an Executive MBA from INDEG, and a Master’s in Marketing from ISCTE Business School.
Fernandes began his automotive career in 1999 with the Fiat Auto Group Portugal, where he progressively held several leadership roles including Zone Manager, Training Manager, Marketing Director, Sales Director, and Brand Director. In 2003, he expanded his international expertise with a two-year tenure in the French automotive market as Product Manager.
In 2012, he moved to the Group’s headquarters in Turin, where he took on product management responsibilities for key Fiat models such as the Linea, Doblò, and Tipo. He later led Brand Development & Optimization efforts for the Central and Eastern European markets.
In 2016, Fernandes was appointed General Manager of FCA Portugal, a role he successfully held until 2021. He then became Sales & Marketing Manager for France, Belgium, and the Iberian Peninsula, reinforcing his international management credentials.
Since April 2024, Artur Fernandes has served as Director of the FIAT and Abarth brands in Portugal and Spain. His new role as head of Stellantis’ Premium Cluster in Portugal marks a strategic move to strengthen the market presence of Alfa Romeo, DS Automobiles, and Lancia in the region.
