Michigan, United State- Stoneridge, Inc. has secured the largest bus and coach program award in the company’s history for its MirrorEye Camera Monitor System.

The contract covers an existing bus platform operated by a leading global commercial vehicle manufacturer. Stoneridge expects the program to generate approximately USD 42.3 million in lifetime revenue and around USD 10.6 million in peak annual revenue. Full commercialisation is scheduled for 2027.

The award strengthens Stoneridge’s position in advanced vision and vehicle safety technologies while expanding the adoption of MirrorEye across the global bus and coach segment.

MirrorEye replaces conventional exterior mirrors with cameras and in-cab displays, helping improve vehicle visibility, reduce blind spots and enhance driver awareness in complex urban and intercity operating environments.

Mr. Natalia Noblet, President and CEO, at Stoneridge, said, “This latest program award is a strong signal of where the industry is headed and the broader transformation underway as OEMs accelerate the shift toward digitalization and next-generation technologies. Transit operators are looking for safer, smarter, and more efficient solutions, and MirrorEye continues to deliver on all fronts. Just as importantly, it reflects the strength of our customer relationships and the trust we’ve built to create a foundation for continuous collaboration and future program opportunities.”

The new program follows the launch of the MirrorEye MP II system, the latest version of Stoneridge’s camera-monitor technology developed specifically for buses and coaches.

MirrorEye MP II incorporates Blind Spot Information System and Moving Off Information System functions, along with digital video output for recording and operational analysis.

The system is designed to support compliance with the European Union’s General Safety Regulation, EU 2019/2144, while improving safety for passengers, drivers and vulnerable road users.
