Shanghai, China - The 21st edition of the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition, widely known as Auto Shanghai 2025, officially opened at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (NECC). Running from April 23 to May 2, the event marks a significant milestone in China's expanding influence in the global automotive industry.
This year’s theme, “Embracing Innovation, Empowering the Future,” reflects the event’s focus on next-generation vehicle technologies, smart mobility solutions, and international collaboration. With an exhibition space of 360,000 square meters and over 1,000 exhibitors, Auto Shanghai 2025 is one of the world’s largest and most influential auto shows.
Organized by the Shanghai Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, the show is co-hosted by the Shanghai International Exhibition Group, Auto Shanghai Management Co., Ltd., and Messe München GmbH of Germany. It also enjoys strong backing from the Shanghai Municipal People's Government, the China Machinery Industry Federation, and SAE China.
Auto Shanghai 2025 is structured in phases, beginning with a closed-door summit for global automotive leaders on April 22, followed by press days on April 23–24, trade days on April 25–26 for industry professionals, and public access from April 27 to May 2 for general visitors and car enthusiasts.
At Auto Shanghai 2025, exhibitors are showcasing a comprehensive range of automotive innovations spanning passenger and commercial vehicles, new energy vehicles, and special-purpose models.
