Bangalore- Sun Mobility Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration with Bluwheelz Mobility Services Pvt Ltd., has announced retrofit kits for Tata ACE vehicles. This initiative will transform the logistics industry by converting existing Tata ACE ICE or fixed battery vehicles into swappable EVs using SUN Mobility’s battery swapping system."
At the launch event, Tata ACE fleet operators and financiers learned about the benefits of retrofitting their vehicles. The electric Tata ACE, equipped with SUN Mobility batteries, can be charged at various swap stations, offering cost savings compared to diesel or CNG vehicles about 30% per month for CNG and 40% per month for diesel vehicles.
Benefits include longer vehicle life, lower operating costs, and higher availability, as electric Tata ACEs can operate in restricted Delhi zones during no-entry hours, enhancing efficiency. Retrofitting aligns with government standards for electric vehicles, allowing businesses to meet regulations affordably while maintaining operations. The event also facilitated valuable discussions with fleet operators about their EV transition experiences
