Bangalore- SUN Mobility Pvt. Ltd., and Indian Oil Corporation Limited., (IOCL) have announced the appointment of Mr. Anant Badjatya as CEO of their new joint venture, Indofast Swap Energy Pvt. Ltd. Previously the CEO of SUN Mobility, Badjatya has now taken charge of Indofast, effective immediately. This leadership shift follows the landmark agreement between IOCL and SUN Mobility, signed in June 2024, aimed at building one of India's largest battery-swapping networks by 2030.
Mr. Anant Badjatya, with over 20 years of experience in energy and automotive sectors, will lead Indofast Swap Energy in building a vast battery-swapping network. Combining IndianOil's 37,000+ fuel stations with SUN Mobility’s technology, Indofast will offer two and three-wheeler owners affordable, hassle-free mobility through its Battery-as-a-Service model, reducing range anxiety and charging times.
