Gurgaon- Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt Ltd (SMIPL), has officially entered India’s electric two-wheeler market with the commencement of production for its first electric scooter, the Suzuki e-ACCESS, at the Gurugram facility in Haryana. The e-ACCESS, initially unveiled at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, is designed specifically for urban mobility and short-distance travel, leveraging Suzuki’s proprietary e-Technology platform.

Equipped with a Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, known for its excellent thermal stability and long cycle life, the e-ACCESS ensures reliable and efficient performance. Key features include regenerative braking to recapture energy during deceleration, a maintenance-free belt drive system for smooth power delivery, and the innovative Suzuki Drive Mode Selector-e (SDMS-e), offering three riding modes—Eco, Ride A, and Ride B—along with a reverse mode to enhance manoeuvrability in tight urban spaces.

Suzuki has put the e-ACCESS through extensive durability and safety testing to simulate extreme real-world conditions. These tests cover water resistance, thermal endurance, impact, vibration, and motor bench performance to ensure the scooter’s reliability and longevity under various environmental stresses.

The scooter delivers consistent power across speeds and maintains steady performance even when battery levels are low, making it ideal for city commutes and open-road rides. To support the growing EV segment, Suzuki is expanding its dealership network by establishing dedicated electric vehicle service infrastructure and training personnel for specialized maintenance.
