Suzuki Unveils the All-New DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM

Suzuki debuted the DR-Z4S and DR-Z4SM at EICMA 2024. Both feature a 398cc Euro 5+ engine, Suzuki Intelligent Ride System, and durable steel frames, designed for high-performance on varied terrains

Shizuoka, Japan- Suzuki Motor Corporation., has unveiled two new models at the 2024 EICMA (Milan Show), held in Milan, Italy, from November 5 to 10, 2024, the DR-Z4S dual-purpose model and the DR-Z4SM supermoto model 1. Sales for the DR-Z4S are set to begin in April 2025, with the DR-Z4SM following in May 2025, primarily in North American and European markets.

The Suzuki DR-Z4S is a high-performance dual-sport motorcycle with advanced features tailored for both on-road and off-road adventures. The new steel frame is designed for resilience and shock absorption, ensuring stability on rugged surfaces. The updated 398cm³ DOHC engine balances power and control, compliant with Euro 5+ standards, featuring dual iridium spark plugs, titanium intake valves, and a dual-stage catalytic exhaust system.

Equipped with the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), it offers features like Suzuki Drive Mode Selector (SDMS) for customizable power output, traction control with G mode for off-road conditions, switchable ABS, and the Easy Start System. The Ride-by-Wire throttle ensures smooth and responsive handling.

The lightweight aluminum seat rails, KYB adjustable suspension, and IRC dual-purpose tires support comfortable, stable riding across terrains. LED projector headlights, an LCD instrument panel, and ergonomic handlebars enhance functionality and rider convenience.

The Suzuki DR-Z4SM embodies an evolution in dual-sport performance with a new steel pipe frame that’s both strong and supple, ideal for handling rough surfaces and reducing rider fatigue. Its compact 398cc liquid-cooled engine has been updated for improved torque, Euro 5+ compliance, and noise reduction, featuring advanced elements like dual iridium spark plugs and lightweight titanium valves for optimal efficiency.

The Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.) includes SDMS with selectable power modes, the Suzuki Traction Control System with an off-road G mode, ABS with a rear-wheel OFF option, and a Ride-by-Wire throttle. The bike’s chassis, riding position, and geometry are refined for stability and comfort, with adjustable KYB suspension, 17-inch performance wheels, and powerful brakes.

Functional yet minimalist LED lighting and a sleek LCD instrument panel align with the bike’s aggressive design. Styled for both aesthetics and ergonomics, the DR-Z4SM’s sharp lines and slim profile reflect its rugged, modern appeal, reinforcing Suzuki’s future vision for supermoto.
