Haryana- Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., has launched the 2025 version of its adventure touring bike, the V-Strom 800DE. While this update doesn’t bring mechanical changes, it ensures compliance with the latest OBD-2B emission norms. The launch also introduces three attractive new colour options: Pearl Tech White, Champion Yellow No.2, and Glass Sparkle Black, giving the motorcycle a fresh new look for the Indian market.

At its core, the V-Strom 800DE remains powered by Suzuki’s 776cc parallel-twin, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine featuring a 270-degree crankshaft. This configuration delivers a smooth, torque-rich powerband that mimics the feel and sound of a V-twin. The engine produces 84 bhp at 8,500 rpm and 78 Nm at 6,800 rpm, mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox. With a compression ratio of 12.8:1 and a fuel-injection system, the V-Strom 800DE balances refinement with raw power, ideal for both city commuting and long-distance touring.

One of the highlights of the motorcycle is the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System (S.I.R.S.), a suite of electronic aids that optimize traction, throttle response, and riding control. These features make the motorcycle easier to manage across diverse terrains — from daily city use to challenging off-road trails — enhancing rider confidence and safety.

The chassis and suspension setup have been carefully tuned for adventure use. The V-Strom 800DE features a robust, well-balanced geometry that ensures stable handling over long distances and on unpaved surfaces. It weighs 232 kg, has a seat height of 855 mm, and offers a generous ground clearance of 220 mm, making it suitable for Indian road and trail conditions. Suspension duties are handled by an inverted telescopic front fork and a link-type rear monoshock, both tuned to absorb rough terrain effectively.

Braking performance is managed by twin disc brakes at the front and a single disc at the rear, delivering reliable stopping power across varying conditions. The motorcycle rides on a 21-inch front tyre (90/90-21) and a 17-inch rear radial (150/70R17), both of which come with inner tubes to maintain off-road durability. The rake and trail measurements of 28° / 114 mm further contribute to the bike's stable, confidence-inspiring ride dynamics.

The 2-into-1 upswept exhaust system not only adds to the motorcycle’s rugged aesthetics but also contributes to its power delivery and emission compliance. With a two-stage catalytic converter, the V-Strom 800DE meets Euro 5 and OBD-2B emission norms, keeping environmental impact in check while delivering a throaty, adventure-worthy sound.

Practicality remains a strong suit for the V-Strom 800DE. It comes with a 20-litre fuel tank for extended touring range and an electric starter with a transistorized ignition system. The CO2 emission output is rated at just 104 g/km, reflecting the bike’s modern and efficient engine technology. The oil capacity is 3.9 litres, allowing for smoother engine operation and easier maintenance over longer journeys.

With the 2025 V-Strom 800DE, Suzuki continues to offer a compelling package for riders who crave a versatile adventure machine that’s just as comfortable on the highway as it is on a dirt trail. Whether you're commuting to work, planning a weekend ride through winding mountain roads, or venturing off the beaten path into the wild, the V-Strom 800DE is engineered to deliver an exciting and reliable riding experience.
