Mohali - Swaraj Tractors., a division of the Mahindra Group, has partnered with Mahindra Susten., a mahindra’s renewable energy arm, to develop Punjab’s largest solar group captive project, a 26 MW solar energy installation in Bathinda district. This initiative marks a major milestone in increasing Swaraj Tractors renewable energy share to 50%.
Developed by Mahindra Susten, the solar energy project will supply clean power to four Swaraj Tractor manufacturing facilities in Mohali and Dera Bassi. Expected to generate approximately 60 million kWh of renewable energy annually, it will help reduce around 54,600 tonnes of CO2 emissions. This initiative underscores the Mahindra Group's commitment to sustainability and climate action, setting a new benchmark for green energy adoption in tractor manufacturing.
