Takeuchi Launches New Electric Excavators at Bauma 2025

Munich, Germany - Takeuchi Mfg. Co., Ltd., a heavy construction machinery manufacturer, will showcase two new electric excavator prototypes, the TB10e and TB35e, at Bauma 2025. Also featured will be the TB20e electric excavator with a newly introduced cab configuration, set to launch in the U.S., Europe, and Canada in Q3 2025.

TB10e

The new Takeuchi TB10e electric excavator prototype weighs 1,180 kg and features compact dimensions for tighter job sites than the TB20e. It delivers a dig depth of 1,755 mm, a reach of 3,285 mm, and a bucket breakout force of 11.2 kN. With a slew speed of 9.6 min⁻¹ and travel speeds of 2.0–3.8 km/h, it offers 24 L/min auxiliary flow. The lithium-ion battery supports up to 2 hours of operation in Standard mode and 4 hours in ECO mode. Charging is flexible, with a three-phase external charger (340–552V) and a single-phase onboard charger (95–265V), reaching full charge in 3 to 4.5 hours. The TB10e operates reliably in temperatures from -15°C to 45°C.

TB35e

The Takeuchi TB35e is the largest electric excavator in the company’s lineup, weighing 3,960 kg. Built for demanding jobs, it delivers strong, zero-emission performance with up to 3 hours of runtime in Standard mode and 4 hours in ECO mode. It features a max dig depth of 3,205 mm, reach of 5,430 mm, and a bucket breakout force of 27.1 kN. With auxiliary flow rates up to 64.5 L/min, it's compatible with a wide range of attachments. Charging options include a 400V 3-phase external charger (4-hour charge time) or a 200V 3-phase onboard charger for overnight charging (7 hours). The TB35e operates reliably in -15°C to 45°C environments.

TB20e (Cab Configuration)

The new cab model of the Takeuchi TB20e weighs 2,125 kg, slightly more than the 1,930 kg canopy version. Powered by a 12.6 kW electric motor and a 24.7 kWh lithium-ion battery, it offers up to 8 hours of runtime depending on use. It includes an onboard single-phase charger (95–265V) and an optional three-phase external charger (340–552V) for fast charging tailored to regional power supplies. The TB20e delivers a 2,390 mm dig depth, 4,090 mm reach, and 34 L/min hydraulic flow for attachments, with up to four service ports available by region. It also features an independent slew circuit for smooth control and better energy efficiency, and travels at 2.1–4.0 km/h. Like the TB10e and TB35e, it operates reliably in temperatures from -15°C to 45°C.
