Kolkata - Tata Hitachi Construction Machinery., a construction machinery manufacturer, has inaugurated a new warehouse at its Kharagpur manufacturing facility in West Bengal, strengthening its spare parts distribution network and overall supply chain capabilities.

The facility was inaugurated in the presence of Hiroshi Hosokawa, President – Spare Parts & Service Business Unit and Executive Officer, Sandeep Singh, Managing Director of Tata Hitachi, and other senior company officials.

The new warehouse has been developed to improve the storage, handling and movement of critical spare parts and components. It is expected to support faster parts availability, streamline inventory management and help reduce equipment downtime for customers across India.

The expansion also strengthens Tata Hitachi’s aftermarket support operations, with the company focusing on improving parts and service availability throughout the lifecycle of its construction equipment.

According to the company, efficient spare parts supply and service support are important for maintaining machine productivity and ensuring customers can keep equipment operational with minimal disruption.

The Kharagpur warehouse forms part of Tata Hitachi’s broader efforts to build a more responsive and agile supply chain while supporting future business growth and improving customer service.

Tata Hitachi, a joint venture between Tata Motors and Hitachi Construction Machinery, operates manufacturing facilities at Kharagpur and Dharwad. The company has more than 275 customer-facing touchpoints across India and offers excavators, backhoe loaders, wheel loaders, dump trucks, attachments, spare parts and service solutions.
