Tata Motors and Tata International launch vehicle scrapping facility in Pune

Re.Wi.Re facility in Pune, capable of eco-friendly dismantling of 21,000 vehicles annually. Operated by TIVA, it supports India’s vehicle scrappage policy and sustainable practices.

Bengaluru- Tata Motors Limited., a commercial vehicle manufacturer, and Tata International, the trading and distribution arm of the Tata Group, they inaugurated a new Registered Vehicle Scrapping Facility (RVSF) in Pune, Named Re.Wi.Re – Recycle with Respect. Operated by Tata International Vehicle Applications (TIVA), the facility can safely dismantle 21,000 end-of-life vehicles annually, using eco-friendly processes. It accommodates scrapping for passenger and commercial vehicles across all brands.

The Re.Wi.Re. facility, purpose-built for dismantling end-of-life vehicles, focuses on eco-friendly practices and aligns with India’s vehicle scrappage policy. With five operational centers in Jaipur, Bhubaneshwar, Surat, Chandigarh, and Delhi NCR, these fully digitalized facilities ensure seamless, paperless operations.

Equipped for both commercial and passenger vehicles, Re.Wi.Re. employs meticulous processes for safe dismantling and disposal of components like tyres, batteries, and fluids, promoting sustainability in the automotive industry.
