Mumbai - Tata Motors Limited., a commercial vehicle manufacturer, fleet of 3,100 electric buses operating across 10 cities has collectively covered over 25 crore kilometres, equivalent to circling the Earth more than 6,200 times. Averaging 200 kilometers per day, these buses significantly reduce air pollution and promote eco-friendly mass transit. The fleet's efforts have saved approximately 1.4 lakh tonnes of CO2 emissions, marking a major milestone in sustainable urban transportation.
Mr. Asim Kumar Mukhopadhyay, CEO and MD of TML Smart City Mobility Solutions Limited, said, "The 15 crore kilometres were completed within the past 12 months, indicating a growing acceptance of sustainable urban mobility solutions by both commuters and state transport undertakings."
