Mumbai-Tata Motors, India’s largest commercial vehicle manufacturer and a trusted name in global mobility, has officially entered the Dominican Republic through a strategic partnership with Equimax, its authorised distributor. This move represents a significant milestone in Tata Motors’ international growth strategy, introducing a carefully curated portfolio of commercial vehicles to support the region’s logistics, infrastructure, and last-mile delivery needs.

The new product lineup is designed to address segment-specific applications, ranging from the Tata Super Ace—built for FMCG, e-commerce, and food delivery; the rugged Xenon pickup available in single and double cabin formats for utility operations; the next-gen Ultra series (T.6, T.7, T.9) for efficient urban logistics; to the robust LPT 613 tipper, engineered for construction and infrastructure sectors. Together, these vehicles reinforce Tata Motors’ reputation for delivering performance, durability, and total cost efficiency.

At the launch event, Mr. Asif Shamim, Head – International Business, Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles, emphasised the Dominican Republic’s potential as a high-growth market aligned with Tata Motors’ global ambitions. He noted that the company’s advanced commercial vehicle solutions, backed by Equimax’s strong local presence, are well-positioned to contribute to the country’s economic development and evolving business needs. Echoing this sentiment, Mr. Gabriel Tellerias, President, Equimax, highlighted that the arrival of Tata’s proven CV portfolio marks a new chapter for the Dominican transport and logistics sector, assuring customers of reliable products and long-term after-sales support.

Beyond vehicles, Tata Motors is strengthening customer experience with extended warranties of up to 5 years or 200,000 km on select models and Equimax’s strategically located service centres ensuring genuine spares and timely maintenance. These measures reflect Tata’s long-standing philosophy of delivering not just vehicles, but complete mobility solutions.

With a presence in over 40 global markets, Tata Motors’ commercial vehicle portfolio today spans sub-1-tonne mini-trucks to 60-tonne heavy-duty trucks, as well as 9- to 71-seater passenger transport solutions. By bringing its expertise to the Dominican Republic, Tata Motors reaffirms its role as a global mobility leader, combining frugal engineering, innovation, and customer-centric services to drive progress in emerging and high-potential markets worldwide.
