Mumbai - Tata Motors Ltd of Mumbai, a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles has launched it’s the new prime mover variant Signa 5525.S1 with 55T GVW in 4x2 configuration. This is achieved by the enhanced axle load norms and additional payload enhancement for air suspension, axle spacing (refer TBB Aug 2018 edition).

1Signa 5525.S 4×2 prime mover is powered by Cummins ISBe 6.7L BS6 with a power rating of 250hp@2300rpm and torque rating of 950Nm from 1000-1800rpm which is matched with TATA G1150 (8F + 1C + 1R) Manual Synchromesh gearbox. The chassis of Wheelbase 3320 mm is fitted with TATA Heavy Duty 7T Reverse Elliot Type at front and TATA Single Reduction RA110 at rear. The Signa 5525.S is equipped with 3 distinct drive modes – Light, Medium and Heavy, coupled with Gear shift Advisor to ensure optimum power and torque selection, based on the load and terrain, and on-drive coaching for right gear selection ensuring high fuel efficiency and the lowest total cost of operations in its segment.
