Mumbai- Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Limited (TMPV)., a SUV manufacturer, has announced the prices of the much-awaited Harrier and Safari powered by the new 1.5L HYPERION Turbo-GDi petrol engine.
Positioned to redefine the premium SUV space, the new Harrier and Safari Petrol bring a suite of luxury and technology features typically seen in higher segments. Highlights include a 36.9 cm (14.5”) cinematic infotainment display powered by Samsung Neo QLED, immersive Dolby Atmos audio, Vision-X E-IRVM with a built-in dual dash cam and DVR, VisionSync memory ORVMs with auto reverse dip, and a ClearView dual camera washer.
Both SUVs is the 1.5L HYPERION Turbo-GDi petrol engine, delivering 170 PS and 280 Nm of torque. TMPV says the powertrain blends strong performance with segment-best fuel efficiency, offering smooth city drivability and confident highway cruising. The engine is also tuned for improved NVH, creating a quieter cabin experience aimed at premium daily commuting.
The company adds that advanced AI- and ML-based optimisation supports the engine management system, enabling it to adapt continuously to real-world driving conditions. This is intended to deliver seamless power delivery, better efficiency, and a refined driving experience across both urban traffic and high-speed highway use.
Inside the cabin, technology takes centre stage with a segment-first 14.5” Neo QLED infotainment screen, paired with Dolby Atmos and a 10-speaker JBL sound system for a theatre-like “TheatreMaxx” experience. Convenience and driver-assist features such as Intelli-Start with Climate Sync, VisionSync memory ORVMs, and integrated dash-cam functionality are designed to enhance day-to-day usability and confidence behind the wheel.
On the design and comfort front, the Harrier and Safari continue to reflect TMPV’s global styling direction, drawing on its Land Rover-inspired design philosophy for a bold stance and strong road presence. The line-up is further strengthened with the Red #DARK edition for both SUVs, a new Premium Nitro Crimson colour for the Harrier, R19 alloys, and signature LED DRLs.
Cabin themes have also been updated to elevate the premium feel, with the Safari Red #DARK featuring a Carnelian Red and Black interior, while the Harrier introduces an Oyster White and Titan Brown combination. Comfort and luxury features such as Boss Mode, ventilated and powered front seats, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof add to the overall upmarket experience.
Reinforcing TMPV’s safety legacy, the Harrier and Safari petrol variants powered by the HYPERION engine have achieved a perfect 5-star Bharat NCAP rating across all variants. With this, TMPV states the entire Harrier and Safari portfolio is now fully 5-star certified.
