Tata Motors Launches its first Automated Manual Transmission truck in Saudi Arabia

Mumbai- Tata Motors Limited., an automobile manufacturer, launched its first automated manual transmission (AMT) truck, the Tata Prima 4440.S AMT, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Prima 4440.S AMT, developed with Tata Motors' global expertise, offers exceptional reliability and performance. Featuring a powerful drivetrain, durable components, and a comfortable cabin, the truck seamlessly combines driver comfort with fuel efficiency, enhancing productivity and profitability for its customers. At the Heavy Equipment and Trucks (HEAT) Show in Dammam, Tata Motors also showcased five high-performance products, tailored to meet the specific needs of the Saudi market and designed for a wide range of applications.

The Prima 4440.S AMT is ideal for container, car carrier, and heavy equipment transport. Its fuel-efficient automated transmission includes smart features like Load Based Speed Control, Shift-Down Protection, Vehicle Acceleration Management, and Auto Start-Stop. Powered by a Euro-V compliant 8.9-litre Cummins engine with 400bhp and 1700Nm of torque, it handles heavy loads, tough terrains, and steep gradients with ease. The truck's pneumatic suspension enhances ride quality and durability, while the modern cabin, featuring a pneumatically suspended seat and adjustable steering, boosts driver comfort and productivity.
