Tata Motors Launches New Ultra T.7 LCV For Urban Operations

Mumbai - Tata Motors Ltd of Mumbai, a leading manufacturer of commercial vehicles has launched the Ultra T.71 Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV), designed specifically for urban transport operations.

Target applications are e-commerce products, FMCG, industrial produce, consumer durables, electronics, essential goods and LPG cylinders. Also refer variant suited for transportation of vaccine, pharmaceuticals, perishable goods, food items such as eggs and milk, along with farm produce.

 

The Ultra T.7 range comes with a modular platform with variants of various deck lengths and in 4-tyre and 6-tyre combinations to suit a wide range of applications. The Ultra T.7 is powered by the technologically-advanced 4SPCR engine, with 100hp of power and 300Nm of torque from 1,200 to 2,200rpm. It has underpinnings of a strong modular chassis design for better durability and radial tubeless tyres. According to the company, the Ultra’s 1900mm-wide cabin has been engineered to offer the best-in-class comfort to reduce the turnaround time. The reduced turnaround time ensures higher earning potential for the truck owners and brings more efficiencies in the logistics sector for profitability.

1Signa 5525.S 4×2 prime mover is powered by Cummins ISBe 6.7L BS6 with a power rating of 250hp@2300rpm and torque rating of 950Nm from 1000-1800rpm which is matched with TATA G1150 (8F + 1C + 1R) Manual Synchromesh gearbox. The chassis of Wheelbase 3320 mm is fitted with TATA Heavy Duty 7T Reverse Elliot Type at front and TATA Single Reduction RA110 at rear. The Signa 5525.S is equipped with 3 distinct drive modes – Light, Medium and Heavy, coupled with Gear shift Advisor to ensure optimum power and torque selection, based on the load and terrain, and on-drive coaching for right gear selection ensuring high fuel efficiency and the lowest total cost of operations in its segment.
